The most intense of sensory experiences alternate with one another as guests venture into a distinctive, relaxing room, circular in shape and with satin-finish glass walls, inside which essential oils with purifying properties are nebulised. Energising cinnamon essences are used, and the oils help to purify mind and body as they travel through the air, transmitting a sensation of energy and wellbeing.

  • Calidarium

    Terme Sensoriali di Chianciano Terme

Immediately following the Melmarium, this is a room saturated with hot steam, with a temperature reaching 55°C. The humid environment prevents the mud applied in the Melmarium from drying out, so the body can absorb the remineralising and detoxing properties of the clay for longer. After about 20 minutes, the mud is removed from the body with a long, hot shower. The contraindications regard sufferers of heart disease and circulatory and blood pressure conditions.

A few minutes after application, the guest moves on into the calidarium, a room filled with hot steam, with temperatures that reach 55°C. The lighting, in shades of orange, is reduced to a minimum.
  • Saline Pool

    Terme Sensoriali di Chianciano Terme

Guests are invited to relax in an outdoor pool stretching out into the greenery of the Acquasanta Park, access to which is through the non-saline pools, first inside the Sensory Spa and then on the outside, through an opening activated by a sensor. The pool is filled with salt water at a temperature of around 38°C, and all guests have to do is lie back and leave all their cares behind, gently cradled by the natural movement of the water, with no water jets. The warm temperature enhances the relaxing effect, relieving tension and relaxing the muscles, also helping to free the mind. There are no contraindications.
