Walk in the River
A 14-metre walk across pebbles smoothed by the stream, which perform an effective foot massage, passing through alternating jets of hot and cold water (from 15°C to 38°C) reaching up to the waist, in a delightful environment tiled with multi-coloured mosaics.
The continual shift from hot to cold awakens the whole body, infusing the tissues, organs and mind with new-found energy and vitality. The alternating heat and cold acts as a workout for the blood vessels, with the cold contracting them and the heat having the opposite effect. All this stimulates the walls of the vessels and the circulation, making this treatment useful for those suffering from vascular problems; it is especially suitable for pregnant women with a sense of heaviness in the lower limbs. Please remember, however, that some of the Sensory Spa treatments are not recommended for pregnant women. The foot massage carried out by the pebbles helps restore balance to the whole body. According to Oriental medicine, there are a number of specific areas on the foot, called “reflexogenous” zones, which correspond to particular areas of the body. In particular, the area corresponding to the kidneys and the liver can be stimulated to improve the function of these emunctory organs, whose task is to remove toxins from the body. There are no contraindications.
