The humid environment prevents the mud applied in the Melmarium from drying out, so the body can absorb the remineralising and detoxing properties of the clay for longer. After about 20 minutes, the mud is removed from the body with a long, hot shower. The contraindications regard sufferers of heart disease and circulatory and blood pressure conditions.
